As we come together at this REUNION, let us pause a moment to appreciate the opportunity for good company and to thank all those past and present whose efforts have made this event possible.

We reap the happy memories of our time at sea and ashore and take joy in the rose-tinted memories of times gone by. On this occasion we forget the storms and difficult times we all endured. We give thanks for the golden memories, often beginning with “Remember that time when”, and treasure them as milestones in our lives.
 

Above all, we give thanks for the companionships that were carved out during our working lives on the ships and ashore whilst working of a truly historic company.
 

And lastly, thank you Lord for the food we are about to receive, and may it be as good as that which we had at sea.
